Hi, I have noticed the Carmodys from Clare mentioned recently and just wanted to add that I also have Carmodys from Clare, from the Cloonmore area. My GGGgrandarents were Thomas and Margaret Carmody and their son Michael born @1830 married Mary Fahy, they had 4 children and at least their daughter Margaret b1857 went to Boston,MA where she married a White or Whyte. I am looking for leads on the father, mother and siblings of Edward Carmody, born 1845 in Barefield, County Clare, which is just outside of Ennis. Edward immigrated to the US in 1863. He is said to have been the seventh son. Some of his family were also said to have gone to Australia.
