I have not been able to find any trace of Minnie Katherine or Edward Griffen, maybe he went back to America. His father was Dr. John Griffen and I found him on the IGI site in the census 1881Edward was a Carpenter and he was born in New York, but I don't know any more about him. Syphilis is only transmitted during the first two stages which usually last one to two years and the unborn child is infected after the fourth month. So Mary may not have been infectious when she married and had her second child. I would appreciate all the help you can give me or any suggestions as to how to continue my search. Hope to hear form soon Regards Karelle
