Our Carmody's are from County Clare, but the Lord only knows where. Have not found anything across the pond. Our Peter CARMODY circa 1813, married Bridget FLANAGAN somewhere in Ireland October 1836. They had 13 children, 6 of them born in Ireland. They came to the USA in 1849. I found them in or near Maysville Kentucky where he declared his citizenship in 1854. In 1856 he settled in Haverhill, Iowa just south of Marshalltown. Sure wish I could find more in Ireland. Anyone with CARMODY'S in Iowa or from Clare?
