Hello Pauline and Linda - just had a look at the 1841 and the census there gives Velinvole as the address with Simon Samuel aged 40 a copperman with Ann aged 40 and living next door to John Hopkin father of John Hopkin who married Margaret William in December 1841. The Samuel living next door but one to the William orphans was David Samuel 35 a farmer with wife Margaret aged 30 - I would guess Simon and David were brothers going on circumstantial evidence. It looks like Ann has died and Simon Samuel has remarried a Mary. Good or what!! So I now have a positive sister for John William c 1803 ish. Diana
