Hi Alan Pendine in 1851 only has 181 people living there......only the one enumeration district schedule 26 was Backs and schedule 31 was Ashwell farm ....... it stated in 1851 that John and Mary Lewis were niece and nephew wonder whose family it was his or hers? Banks is a farm and so is Ashwell Farm Have you looked on the old maps on line to see if you can find them?
