Hello Trevor Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. It does seem a lovely area to visit although it wasn't in our immediate plans! A coincidence was that in looking up "Kennedy" I found that it was near Hinchinbrook island, and I live near Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire (England) and there is a Hinchinbrook House there!! I would be so pleased to have the specific contact details that you offered. I do have specific details of the bride and groom; name , age and birthplace and ,of course, the date of marriage in Charters Towers. The Australian certificates were very detailed weren't they? Eagerly awaiting your reply.... Hwyl Margaret. ----- Original Message ----- From: "May Tan/Trevor Gerard" <tangerard@bigpond.com.au> To: <CARMARTHENSHIRE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, October 29, 2005 12:32 PM Subject: Re: [Cmn-L] Help from Australia?! > Hi Margaret, > Charters Towers is outside Townsville , a town north of > Brisbane by about 1000 klms Townsville is very hot but a nice place to > "visit " for a short time , and of course its full of Aussies.
