I am looking for two families. Not connected at all except by marriage! The first is my great grandfather DAVID EVANS who married MARY JONES and had a son THOMAS, they lived near Court Henry on a farm My grandfather Thomas was born IN 1861. We do not know any dates for David or Mary or where they were married. The other family is my husband's. Gillie, Have you purchased or found a marriage certificate for Nathaniel Thomas to show who his father is......I cannot find a 24 year old - there are only 6 Nathaniel Thomas is my database, the closest in age is a 21 year old.......living and born in Newchurch father Thomas thomas aged 68 farmer 130 acres , mother Esther Thomas aged 54, Nathaniel Thomas aged 21 employed on the farm and 6 servants. No I have not purchased a certificate, as he was born before 1837 I didn't think you could! There are 6 servants on the 1881 census living with Nathaniel Thomas who is 54, this makes him born in 1827?? If I go to the records office in Carmarthen shire where would I start looking?
