Hi Pat, The family in Garth Rd is mine and many thanks for the info, you have filled a lot in for me. I would like to order some birth and marriage certs but I haven't done this before, is it straightforward? If the Garth road family is yours then I think I can say that the Begelly family was definitely the right match. Levi was unmarried and an iron miner in the 1851 census aged 16 lodging in Merthyr in John Street in the home of Isaac Phillips (aged 31) also of Tenby , his wife Jane and 2 children. He eventually married Eliza Davies (from Carmarthen in spite of the birthplaces shown in the census) daughter of William Davies, a weaver. I have a copy of the marriage certificate which I obtained for Susan several years ago. I haven't heard from her for some time - but hopefullt she is at the same e-mail address so I will try and see if it gets to her. If however you are not sure if the Garth Road family is yours - let me know what information you do have that led you to them - as there are several Levi Phillips of the right sort of age in Pembrokeshire in 1841 (but the nearest to Tenby at the time was the Begelly one) Cheers Pat In message <000001c5d559$d9c81020$c4438056@ownera6e694167>, Paul Phillips <c.phillips01@btconnect.com> writes >Thanks for the info Pat, I will cross check and see if it matches, the >age is 2 years out but that could be ok.
