Hello all I sent this request in a short while ago but there was no response. If everyone's looking for something to do, perhaps someone would be kind enough to check for me. I'm looking for my great-grandmother Elizabeth Roberts and her family in the 1851 census She was born about 1832 in Llanelly (from age given in 1881 census) and I see there are 4 possibles in the Llanelli index on the Carmarthenshire FHS website, aged 23, 18 (perhaps the most likely), and two aged 17. However, I know her father's name was Edward, and there are only two possibles there; one aged 50 and one aged 51. Hopefully one of these entries will tie up! Pauline Thank you so much. Yes, he was a mason, as was my great grandfather John Rees whom Elizabeth married in 1858 (I wonder if they worked together?) from Columbia Row. This is certainly her, and adds another few pieces to the jigsaw, or stitches to the tapestry, however you prefer to look at it. Liz, I have two possible marriages for an Edward Robert and Elizabeth Llanelly parish church 20th Feb 1824 Edward Robert and Elizabeth Powell Llanelly parish church 9th Jan 1825 Edward Robert and Elizabeth Shambrook you need to purchase the birth certificate of the son David who was born after civil registration to locate the correct marriage.. The other Edward Robert in 1851 aged 50 had a daughter Elizabeth aged 12, so I discounted that one......he was a mariner.
