Hello Pauline, Thank you once again for your reply, Yes, my Joseph MORRIS does state Llanelly as his birthplace. His wife Mary also gives her birthplace as Llanelly. On my Gr. Grandfather's birth certificate, her surname is given as THOMAS. As yet I have not found a marriage for Joseph and Mary, and I do not know the name of Joseph's father. On the 1861 census Joseph and Mary (sounds Biblical) have a David THOMAS living with them, he is enumerated as a Boarder, Widower, aged 78 yrs, Dock Labourer, born Llanelly. Could this be Mary's father? If so, why not enumerated as father in law? Once again, many thanks, Willie.
