Hi Jan Thanks for the offer, there are not many left, do you have any census CD of ours for 1841? The only ones left now are.... Meidrim, Llanfihangel Abercowin, Llandilo Abercowin, Llangathen,, Llanfynydd (big one) Llanllwni Llanybydder and Llanycrwys We just cannot believe how members have rallied around to do this 1841 census......lots are finished the rest being done as we speak...... members when finishing one are taking on another one to do......think we are all trying to beat ancestry.com to it....!!! 1851 census as you know has been completed that one took 5 long long years to complete, members thought that it was never going to be finished, so on the last leg members came to the rescue as I had more or less given up.....Pat P was there the whole duration helping out. Both 1851 and 1841 census will be added to the ever growing online databases which is membership for 2006. Transcribers of 1841 will have access to all 1841 regardless...... Do you want to do any of the above census.......if you do not have the CD I will send you one with the parish of your choice on.......some of 1841 are very difficult to read in places as some used pencil without lead in it!!!! let me know thanks for the offer, there is no rush only do in your own time..... Gday Pauline, I am not a member of the CFHS but have an interest in Llangathen. I noticed you still need a volunteer to transcribe the 1841 census for Llangathen and I would be pleased to do it if will help. It didnt escape my notice that it is only a small one lol.
