    3. Hi Ken You do know pre 1837 that there are no fathers names or occupation on the marriage entries.........you would have to obtain that marriage from Swansea Record Office in Oystermouth, not the registry office as registration did not begin until June 1837...... Being as you state she said she was from Llangyfelach I would favour that one too.......Llanrhidian is in the Gower peninsular. Perhaps the baptism I found was not your John Robert/s, it was the only one I came across for that period......do you have him in 1861 census.....perhaps he gave a different age..... Whilst indexing St Peters Carmarthen I have come across entries where the father and mother are the same for a few children but still not married.....I always index in both fathers surname and mothers surname in case the child took either name.......it is surprising how many children were born out of wedlock......the Militia were in Carmarthen at the time I am indexing 1816/1817 quite a few of the Militiamen are fathering illigitmate children, wonder what happened to the mother and child when they had to return to where-ever with the militia.......the local surgeon is also fathering illig children too........ Constant Cellan.....unsure about that, according to my info Cellan is in Cardiganshire.......perhaps someone else knows who knows the area?
