Hi Pauline I am new to the Carmarthen list, though I have been lurking, but before asking for help I was waiting until I became a member in October, I have found that new members to a FHS get an awful lot of information that allows them to work out their problems for themselves, and that's where the fun is (isn't it ?). All my closer ROBERTS ancestors were from Glamorgan but I am now getting into Carmarthen. I am trying to find a John Roberts c. 1799 Llandeilo married to a Catherine b. 1796 Llangafelach, the 1841 census shows he was living in Weig Village Swansea age 40, the 51 census gives age 52. his children were William, John, David, Daniel, Griffiths, Catherine and Thomas. So my first problem in Carmarthen is to find his parents, birth cert and marriage cert. I have other ancestors from Carmarthenshire, but they will keep for another day. regards ken roberts
