Hi List, May have sent this previous but not to list. l and had some help from Pauline off list due to my new email address not working I hope it is now. I am looking for the place of Birth of William THOMAS he Married Elizabeth ROBERTS in 1815 at Cilycwm. He lived in and around Llanfair ar Bryn had children Charlotte 1816, Thomas 1817, Jane 1819, John 1821, Robert 1822 [Died1827] Mary 1824, Iasaac 1826, David 1824 and Robert 1835. [Another Robert 1827] It is in the family bible that William Thomas Vipond dropped the Vipond and used the name William Thomas when he married Elizabeth Roberts in 1815. Viponds are in the area from about 1754 but not many Males christenings or Deaths which makes me wonder if they are in non conformist records. As William had a son born 1835 their must be a chance that the family are around on the 1841 list. It would be very significant if William's Birth was in the County of Carmarthen [or even more if elsware!!!] Would it be possible for a look up on the 1841 or 1851 census [Pauline could not find them on the 1851 census] to see what Parish or County he was born in? The children were all born in Llanfair ar Bryn I cannot find William or Elizabeth on the 1861 census but can possibly find some of the Children. Any help would be very much appreciated. David Thomas

David, in the marriage you have is that from the bible.....this is what I have from my marriage indexes. 1815 17th March Cilycwm parish church William Thomas yeoman of this parish and Elizabeth Roberts of Llanfairarybryn I have a few of a William Thomas to a Mary.......do you want any of them, or are you sure that the one above is the correct one?
