    3. Hi Diane, I agree that this is a sad state of affairs..fewer people attend chapel now and with congregations dwindling so do finances. There is no money to continue and preserve. A case in point is the chapel where my grandparents are buried. An aging and decreasing congregation could not maintain the building with repairs often caused by vandalism. My Grandparents' grave stone was pushed over, remounted and pushed over again! Facing this sort of continual problem is expensive and discouraging. Eventually the chapel was sold to developers and there are now flats there.
