    3. Hi Margaret, I'll have a look next Sunday. I don't mind doing lookups because people do them for me. If I can't do one I can usually point them in the right direction to a suitable web site. For example NSW has all theirs on the web now including the recent additions. I only have the 1788 - 1888 pioneer Indexes for NSW. I have a number of indexes at home including all of Victoria and Pioneer Indexes for all but South Australia. Regards. 3. Hi Ray The request for the marriage certificate is in the post (Sat 5..soon after we communicated..I used your registration no) I don't know how long it will take to get a reply..( if Dublin is anything to go by it'll be 6-8 weeks!) One query, In my rush to post the form, I authorised the cost as $24.50. After I'd posted it I re-read the instructions and saw that that was GST exempt. Is this the same as our VAT and are they likely to send the certificate ..any ideas? Thanks so much for promising to look up the couple in later life. I suppose with no census returns the death certs are the most likely option? Thanks again Margaret. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ray Edmunds" <Wattle@iprimus.com.au> To: <CARMARTHENSHIRE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, November 09, 2005 5:30 AM Subject: Re: [Cmn-L] Queensland BDM > Hi Margaret, > I'll have a look next Sunday. > I don't mind doing lookups because people do them for me. 3. Hi Margaret, They are, I believe, quite prompt. If they said GST exempt - surprises me - then that would be the cost. All prices are to be quoted inclusive of GST and the GST component shown separately. Exempt means no GST ( 10%) applies. GST is basically the same as your VAT - it means Goods and Services Tax. I'll do some checking on Sunday. Regards.
