Hi Margaret, The registration number for the marriage is 1886/000904. There was a birth of Ivy Eileen HATTE 22.8.1887 reg. 1887/005476. I have the Qld Pioneers Index 1829 - 1889 at home. No places are given in these indexes. I go to the State Library most Sundays and would be happy to do some lookups. Most states have Federation Indexes usually from 1889 - 1901, Edwardian 1902 - 1913, Great War 1914 - 1920 and by and large this is where the births end. Marriages and Deaths vary too but generally 1921 - 1945, then Deaths only vary from 1945 - 1985. There has been a recent expansion of the marriage and death indexes in NSW who now have marriages to about 1953 and deaths to 1970 Because I have few direct relatives in Queensland I'm not fully au fait with the details, but I think the deaths now go to about 1970. Anyhow I'd be happy to check for you. Hello again Ray, Many thanks for your help, I can "get on with it" now! That was the birth of the daughter Ivy Eileen,who married into the LITTLEFIELD family, which I am researching. (She had a sad end, dying of 'flu in the epidemic in 1919 in England). It would be interesting to know if the young bride and groom remained in Australia..I have no idea what happened to them If you do find anything in your perusals I would be delighted!
