Hi Pauline, The reason the census details were deleted was the direct result of the Australian Privacy act . simple as that , no doubt the census was a data base that could be exploited to no end ,especially if you were tryimg to track someone down , the electoral rolls are a little more dificult as you have to be over 18 yo to be on the rollbut god knows why we give some of them a vote .
