Hello Margaret I seem to have missed your original communication? A suggestion is that Cwmbath is Cwmbach, there are several in Wales but one is also in Glamorgan in the Cynon Valley near Aberdare. There is also a Cwmbach in Carmarthenshire. For an old map try http://www.old-maps.co.uk/ Do you have birth dates of David Harris and his prospecive wife Mary Thomas and have you tried the 1881 Census on line? at http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=census/search_census.asp Hope this helps Glen Jenkins --- SM Coomey <smcoomey@bigfoot.com> wrote: > Hi Pauline, > received the Glam 1871 CD yesterday..thanks very > much! > I've ploughed through it but no luck so far in > finding my David HARRI(E)S and his prospective wife > Mary THOMAS (to be married 4 months later in > Llangyfelach parish Church). > Any hints on searching??.there is a street index, > but the only possible address I have are > "Morriston" on wedding certificate (1871) for both > parties and "Cwmbath,"(1876) which is also an area > as opposed to a street.
