Hello Pauline, Thank you for your reply, and offer to look for Joseph MORRIS in the 1851 census. At the time of the 1861 census Joseph's age is enumerated as 26 yrs. His age is given as 35 yrs in the 1871 census. By the time of the 1881 census his wife, Mary, is a Widow. There is an entry on free BMD for a Joseph MORRIS died Sept. Qtr 1872 aged 37 yrs. Hi Willie Did Joseph say born Llanelly in 1861.....if so this could be him...do you have a marriage certificate for him stating fathers name.....would help.
