Hello Pauline - as you can probably guess from the many and varied requests I am tidying up all my family - good new year's job. Finding more children for them etc etc. A long time ago you gave me a marriage of my Jonah Jones Llanfihangel to Mary Jenkins Llanllwch in 1818. I now have a copy of the marriage entry from the CRO. I cannot however find a certain birth for him. I have a birth for him on the IGI of 1st Feb 1792 but on the 1841 he is 40 so that would make it 1801 and on the 1861 census it says about 1796. He lived his life at Magazine Row and Lammas St. Carmarthen - working as an umbrella maker (good job to have in Wales!) so........... 1. Would you be kind enough to look up to see if you have his birth in Llanfihangel Abercowin. 2. Also Mary Jenkins birth in Llanllwch and then I can send off for copies of the entries. thanks Diana

Hi diana I do not have records that early for those two parishes..... I have Carmathen Town, where did the IGI say the baptism took place? As you know by indexing Llanelly 1841 census that ages were rounded down for that one, sometimes I have found that by 1851 people have aged a whole 15 to 20 years and not the 10 as it should have been....as if it states 15 years old they could be 19 nearly 20.......
