Could anyone explain to me Llangan When I look up Henllan Amgoed it tells me Parish of Henllan Amgoed and Llangan in Carmarthenshire and yes I can see H A on the map but when I do a map search for Llangan it comes up with Llangan in the vale of Glamorgan? Can anyone put me straight on this please thanks

Hello Dave If you want to look at places in the parish of Llangan (part in Pem and part in Carmarthenshire) on a current map then look for Whitland. Re the Henllan Amgoed records - I have found that most of the birth records only give the name and date and not the parents names - unfortunately as many of mine I think were baptised/christened there. I haven't seen the actual registers but the transcriptions only occasionally show a father's name. One day I hope to look at the actual records and see for myself.
