    3. Pauline Thanks for this information. I have put a copy of it in my research file. I suspected that they were non-conformist for some time because I have not been able to find a marriage for them or chritenings/baptisms for any of their chidren. The children that I know of are: John 1837 Esther 1839 Rachel 1840 David 1842 Mary 1846 Daniel 1848 Regards Glen Jenkins --- Pauline James <paulinejames@onvol.net> wrote: > Hi Glen > > Not to put you off but I had family from Conwil > Elved Daniel and Dinah > Davies and their respective family....I know exactly > where Dinah (also nee > Davies) died in a farm where her children were > living when they got married > named Cilmache Conwil Elved, but at the time of her > death they lived in > Penlanychawel Carmarthen Town but cannot find her > burial details.....they > christened their children in Bethel Calvinistic > Methodist chapel Conwil > Elved which I have looked around but cannot find a > headstone for her (I have > for Daniel's brother and family)......have never > even found Daniel's death > let alone a burial after years of searching.....If > non-conformist and there > is no headstone it is very difficult as these > chapels records rarely > survived if they had any in the first place... > > If you locate yours keep me posted just in case the > ones mentioned above are > there...... > > If you think yours were belonging to Bethel between > 1813-1837 I have indexed > the chapel baptisms......let me know > > Pauline > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Alayne and Glen Jenkins" > <jinxs104@yahoo.co.uk> > To: <CARMARTHENSHIRE-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Wednesday, January 18, 2006 11:45 PM > Subject: [Cmn-L] Jenkins Conwil Elvet > > > > Hi All > > > > I need some ideas as to where David Jenkins > > (1810-1891) and his wife Elizabeth Jenkins > > (1812-C1887) may be buried. 3. Glen If they married pre 1837 they had to marry in the parish church .....when registration came into being by June 1837 they could marry in parish church, chapel with registrar present or registry office....... If you know both names you could ask Carmarthen registry office if they can find the marriage for you if after 1837..... You state you have them in later census ? Where were they can you give us a clue.... thanks Paulne ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alayne and Glen Jenkins" <jinxs104@yahoo.co.uk> To: <CARMARTHENSHIRE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, January 19, 2006 3:58 PM Subject: Re: [Cmn-L] Jenkins Conwil Elvet > Pauline > > Thanks for this information. 3. Hello Paulin I too thought that this would be an easy one but CRO told me that this period has a number of marriages gone astray. The only civil registration is 1838 LLandovery which seems to late and too far! Just in case anyone has noticed a marriage c 1836 here are the details. David Jenkins b 1810 and Elizabeth Jones b.1812 were both born in LLangeler. I have David's parents family who lived in 'Blaenfynnon' farm near Hebron Chapel and I suspect that this is where he was born. I also have a baptism for him on 10 June 1810 St Celers Llangeler. To confuse things more, his parent were buried at Llanfihangel ar Arth Parish church. Census information puts him in the following places. 1841 'Weinhavod' Abernant Chapelry 1851 -1881 'Manllwyd' Conwil Elfed So they didn't move far!! Thanks again for your interested Pauline it is much appreciated.
