Hi David I only have marriage indexes pre 1837 when everyone had to marry in the parish church before registration. What was William's occupation........do you know his fathers name? You cannot personally view the marriage entries in the registry office, but you can request they check a marriage for you.......if you have his occupation it will narrow the possibilites for you, even better if you have name of father.... another way to obtain the correct information is to purchase a birth certificate of one of their children that was born to them.......this will give you the mothers maiden name.......if a popular name you will need to give address and parish to the registrar.....(address you have on the census) their email address is Registrars@carmarthenshire.gov.uk give them as much information as you have to ensure you have the correct certificate. keep us informed as to how you get on.....
