Hello Pauline/Gareth I think my next step is to look up this birth/bap of John Howell on 13/11/1813 in Henllan Amgoed and see 1. If his father is David Howell 2. Was his father a tailor or sailor and if that fits in to see if his mother is Margaret Jones. If this does match up, I do know a David Howell married a Margaret Jones 22/10/1812 in Llangan.
