Hi Sylvia and Pauline, Many thanks for your help. I've spotted the 1841 Rebecca but ruled her out, as she appears in the 1861 census with her Mum and sister, Elizabeth. At that time my Rebecca is in Cardiff living with Uncle Rees and his wife Martha. I've got the father's name, John, from Rebecca's marriage certificate, which is witnessed by her Uncle Rees; so I'm assuming it will be accurate. Also, the marriage certificate and census information suggest a birth date of 1843 - 45. According to the 1861 census, Uncle Rees, was born in 1821 in Llandovery. This one's a real teaser, I've been on her trail for some time. Any suggestions welcome.   Thanks also for the reminder, Pauline; I'll get onto that. Take care, Anne.
