Hi Huw I have looked and cannot find the surname Terry either....... You said that you found her birth.........did you purchase the certificate to see who the mothe and father were? Any clues appreciated.....how sad she was in an orphanage in 1881, why was she in Bristol do you know? Children/people are normally sent to the parish they were originally from to be paid for by that parish.......
