Good morning Pat thank you for info n the 1891 census, I am trying to find a connection between my G G Grandmother Elizabeth Evans and the Jones family living at White Thorn house in Ferryside. Elizabeth son Frank Evans was born at White Thorn House, Elizabeth moved from Brecon to Ferryside some where between 1881 to and 1891 to have her son Frank who was born 10/9/1892 , when Frank enlisted for the army on 29/8/1914 and on his demob in 31/3/1920 he gave his address as White Thorn House Ferryside. I have been to the house in Ferryside when I was a little boy I was just told she was my Auntie, also I have been trying for years to find some info on David Morgan who married Peggy Jones who mam and dad who own the house,David was out in a boat with his little boy they went missing and when they fond the boat David had died but his son was fit and well. I have a Little bit of info on Mr Jones I don' know his fist name he was a postmen at Ferryside, he also was in charges of closing the gates under the railway tunnels when they had high tides to stop Ferryside from being flooded.Any more inof wold very much apprecated thank you. Regards Viv.
Hello Viv It seems your e-mail was one of the ones that was "held up" somewhere and I have only just received it this morning (Dec 10th) I'll get back to you this afternoon - hopefully with some answers. I have sent this reply both to the list and direct to you as there seems to be something strange going on with the mails at the moment.
