Hi Pauline, Back in February 2008 I asked you to find some information about Bessie FERRY b 1877 Llandovery. You replied and said there was no trace of her birth in Llandovery. However the information you sent me about Bessie and her Grandparents in Laugharne was correct. However her name in the 1881 Census is incorrect. Her correct name is Mary Elizabeth J (Jane?) TERRY born in Dolgam Carmarthenshire (Nr. Llandovery). In the 1881 census, she is shown in an orphanage in "The New Orphan Houses" Ashley Down Bristol. Her mother Mary Ann TERRY (nee Lewis) b1851 in Laugharne and died in 1877 in Llandovery (probably at the birth of her daughter). Would it be possible for you to trace her husband/father or any siblings or any other information you can find about the family? Thankyou again for your help.
