    1. [CMN-L] I hope you can assist me.
    2. My 6G Grandfather, Simon Butler (born between 1680 and 1692 in Wales), sailed to Pennsylvania in 1710. Although I have followed the family down to my 2G Grandmother (Pamelia Morris-plus), and know a lot about Simon Butler's accomplishments in Pennsylvania, I know little about the family in Wales. With Simon when he arrived from Wales were: Simon Butler's wife Ann Mathew Ann's father Anthony Mathew Simon Butler's sister Jane Butler Jane Butler's husband, Simon Mathew, who was also Anthony's son and Ann's brother That seems to be the consensus with regard to their relationships. They all came from the Carmarthenshire area, some possibly from Llangennech. It is said that they left Wales with another dozen or so people who were interested in starting a Baptist Church in Chalfont (at different times called Butler's Mill or Butler's Village), Pennsylvania, which they did. Although I have seen many posts about ancestors from this area, they have been mostly for people born in the 18th and 19th centuries. Is my Simon Butler too far back for any hope of learning more about him? Are their church/parrish/ birth/cemetery records that far back, and how can I find them? Thanks for any help anyone can provide. Joycene Harwood
