Greetings, This afternoon, my Father (90 and going strong!) told me that he and his nephew once drove to Llanelly and took pictures of Wern Cottage some time in the late 70's - mid 80's. My Fathers sister (nephews Mother) was born there in 1895, and her Mother (Mary Jane (JONES) STREETER) lived there most of her adult life. Her death cert. (1943) lists her address as Wern Cottage, Burry Port, but she passed at her son's house in Chepstow, Monmouth. There are a couple of questions I have. Is Wern Cottage still in existance? and, if not, does anyone have any photos? Where do you think she would be buried? In Chepstow where she died, or in Llanelly, where her husband (Thomas TREETER 1852 - 1913) was buried? Any thoughts appreciated, David Wightmore
Hello, All, I am also interested in this--would Wern Cottage have been in the Wern section of Llanelli? My REES(e) family was in Wern in the early 1840s. Thanks!
