Failing that, National Library of Wales may be of assistance. I know that pre 1800 is very difficult in Wales, and I personally found Carmarthenshire hardest. Although I have seen many posts about ancestors from this area, they have been mostly for people born in the 18th and 19th centuries. Is my Simon Butler too far back for any hope of learning more about him? Are their church/parrish/ birth/cemetery records that far back, and how can I find them?
