I have a picture (and will send copies of) from August 1928 where part of Wern Cottage is visible behind a family grouping consisting of: Mary Jane STREETER - GGmother Mary Gertrude (STREETER) WIGHTMORE - Gmother Elsie WIGHTMORE - Aunt Wm James WIGHTMORE - Father Mary (STREETER) KNAPP - Father's Aunt Howad KNAPP - Father's cousin According to Pauline, "Wern Cottage still exists, its across a stream along the old tramways........its just up from the local park."... so if there is a budding digital photographer out there who could be convinced to snap a few photos, I would be most appreciative.
