Hi Everyone I would just like to thank HJ for opening up a door for me that has been closed for so long that I thought I would never find the key. Tracing the Jones side of my family in Wales was never going to be easy but not being able to find a reference to my Grandfather anywhere before he married in Llandebie in 1892 was so frustrating. Now I know why, for HJ found him on the 1881 by putting 2 and 2 together and then making the 5 work. Without his help I would not have found Roger Jones, nor his father, another Roger Jones, nor his grandfather, Rees Jones. And its no wonder that they were so well hidden for my Grandfather didn't come from either Brynamman or the Rhondda as he had stated in records. Those were just places that my grandfather just happened to be living in! Anyway, based on HJ's advice, I have sent for some certificates and if all these click into place, as I strongly suspect they will, I am now looking for my 2 x GT Grandfather, Rees Jones and his wife Mary. Rees was born in Dyserth, Radnorshire c1827 so he should be easy to find (???) whilst Mary ..... was born in Llanidloes, Montgomeryshire around about the same time. Best regards and thank you HJ Peter Jones
