Bob, With regards to Benjamin's birth, I have found the following in Llanelly. March Qtr. 11a 586 Llanelly or June Qtr. 11a 638 both in the years 1864. As you have the names of his parents, it won't be difficult to get his birth certificate. I have found a marriage of John Davies and Margaret Davies in Jun 1860 in Llanelly.
