Hi Elwyn I have Samuel in my tree but not sure if it's same as yours, I do know Samuel was a very common Welsh surname. Mine are Elizabeth daughter of Benjamin and Wineford Samuel born in Llanelly abt 1835. She had a brother William and some other siblings but William is the only one I know for definite. Benjamin was a coppersmith. If you look at 1841 Welsh census you will see this family living at St David Street.
