    1. Re: [CMN-L] info request
    2. Hi If you contact the Carmarthen Archives they will research the voters list for you after 1940's. It will be easier to research if on one of the certs it states an address. They do charge for the research £20 for an hour but it wouldn't take them longer than that. They will advice you if you email them directly, they are really nice there. Simply google Carmarthen Archives and it will take you to the web site. 2. Hi John No Hubert wasn't a relation of mine I was helping someone find his marriage and yes his family are American I believe. I have been trying to find the service records/Medal records of my G grandfather William James Thomas he was born in Llanelli 1872 and died there 1938. I have a photo of him in his uniform and have been told that the cap badge is that of the South Wales Borderers c1914-1918 He lied about his age to be able to join and went I am told to France he was found out regards being to old, but they let him stay as a batman to an officer. I have been searching on and off for three years, but haven't been able to find anything. I was sent the medal card of a William J Thomas number 1213, but wasn't really sure it was correct. Today someone has said that they saw the same number on a memorial in Pembroke Best Wishes Sharon In a message dated 30/03/2010 09:29:37 GMT Daylight Time, l_morriss@sky.com writes: HI SHARON the originator of the request you were trying to help was HUBERT FLOWERS,from canton ohio usa,I have since located the website of HUBERT giving the military details of his kin,and family tree.Had we known all about that it could of helped in our searching for his kin in carmarthen, still cant find them though.
