Hello List I am seeking information on a Benjamin Davies born 1864 to a John Davies and Margaret . John worked at a Copper works , I have found a John and Margaret who fit this description on the 1861 census John is 33 and Margaret is 27. John's place of birth is Llanelly, and Margaret's is Cilrhedyn. I found two John Davies to Margaret marriages in 1860 in Llanelly. I checked the Hugh Wallis site and Cilrhdyn has no Margaret Lewis in the age group but four Margaret Davies of the wrong ages . On the 1881 census I found a Margaret Davies of the right age born 1834 born Trelech a Widow with a son Benjamin born 1864 which is the age I am looking for. Benjamin's son Richard Selway Davies married my aunt Lucy Ann (Gascoigne) Metcalfe from Pembroke. I know it is a long shot Bob

Hello list, Has somebody come across the Rees family from Ropewalk Road, Felinfoel or Llanelly? William Rees had married my Margaret Roberts. Margaret Rees died at age of 82, possibly 1926. She was a member of Bethania Chapel. Is there a burial place next to this chapel? Elwyn - Netherlands.

Married 27 June 1807 Llandefeilog Carmarthen Wales Tabitha CHAPLAIN b 24.November 1782. Llandefeilog Carmarthen Wales. Was a farmer at "Bryncoch" [Red Hill]. In Llandefeilog June 1807 Walter bought a marriage license no 45 in the Diocese of St David He made an oath that he was from the parish of Llandefeilog and was over 21 years of age. Tabitha Chaplan was listed as a spinster aged 22 also from Llandefeilog. They were married in the parish 27 June 1807 The license cost Walter 200 pounds. Tabitha could possibly be the daughter of Hendy or Henry Chaplain and Mary Brown. They left Wales in 1830 , to early for the census. Thanks very much Regards Karen I

Here is 1891, this is the only Sage Jones in Llanelly in 1891, the other 2 are in Carmarthen. Pauline, I "lost" these emails and just found them. All I have from the 1841 census is that they were *not* born in Carmarthenshire, but their children were. I can't find them in others. My cousin did some other research and has the following...As I mentioned before I found their marriage record, but would like it if anyone else has anything on the line (where they came from). John Edward Pugh, 1799 Wales married to Elizabeth Charles in 1825 in Llanelli Parish; I assume John's father was named Edward as in the 1841 census there is a Edward, age 70 living with them.
