    1. [CMN-L] STREETER - Wern Cottage, Burry Port
    2. David Wightmore
    3. Greetings, I am researching my Father's maternal lineage which is as follows: Mary Gertrude STREETER - Nov 1, 1895 - mar Leonard WIGHTMORE - Dec 16, 1916 - d. Jul 6, 1975 daughter of Thomas STREETER - Sep 10, 1852, Sussex - mar Mary Jane JONES - Nov 28, 1874 - d. May 25, 1913 at Wern Cottage, Burry Port Mary Jane JONES ca. 1852 - Father's name on marr. cert. is Daniel JONES - Tailor - d. Apr 20, 1943 What I have at this time is: 1861 census for Thomas aged 8 living w/ his family in Sussex, Thomas and Mary Janes marriage cert at Parish Church of St. Davids, Carmarthen, 1881 census for Thomas and Mary Jane (born in Llanelly) and family in Pembrey, birth cert for Mary Gertrude in Wern Cottage, Pembrey, death cert for Thomas and death certificate for Mary Jane aged 91 "of Wern Cottage, Bury Port" issued in Chepstow, Monmouth. I also have Thomas as a fourth generation STREETER (STREATER). What I don't have is any information about Mary Jane's family ie. siblings, Mothers name. What I am looking for is: 1891, 1901 census for the STREETER family at Wern Cottage, Burry Port Daniel JONES, Tailor and family 1861 - '71 with Mary Jane aged 8-9 & 18-19 (Great search parameters, eh? lol) Christening records for Mary Jane JONES and Mary Gertrude STREETER Thoughts of where everyone might be buried Anything else anyone can think of... TIA David Wightmore Edmonton, Canada

    1. [CMN-L] 1861, -71 census look-up - Mary Jane JONES
    2. David Wightmore
    3. Greetings and salutations, My Father's maternal grandmother was Mary Jane JONES b. ca 1852, d. Apr 12, 1943 aged 91. She appears in the 1881 census as Mary J. STREETER, aged 29, born Llanelly, living w/ her family in Pembrey. She was married after banns to Thomas STREETER Nov 28, 1874 in the parish Church of St. David's, borough of Carmarthan. Her Father is listed as Daniel JONES, Tailor, age unknown, but not marked as deceased. I do not know if there were any siblings, nor do I have a name for her mother... I realize that these are not the ideal search parameters, but is there anyone who would be able to check out the 1861 and 1871 census indexes and maybe see if they can be found? Thanks for any assistance David Wightmore, Edmonton, Canada

    3. Hi List, Would anyone have any idea where I can get the records of Bethal C.M.Chapel, Meidrim? My ancestor, Amy Evans was born in Meidrim about 1794, but I cannot find a baptism for her . Pauline ,you kindly checked the church for me, but I wondered about the chapel, maybe she was a Baptist. Someone told me there is a list of dissenters . Any help gratefully received.
