Hi Pauline, You had asked what year WILLIAM EDWARDS was born in Llanelly, - the birth date that I have is Feb. 27, 1817. Hope this will be of some help in finding more information on him and his parents. Thank you for all you do in helping so many of us. Regards, Jane in Cal.

Christopher... There are many books that I think should be reprinted......missed out on quite a lot over the years, as soon as the books are printed they are sold out and never to be had again.....unless you go to abebooks or other 2nd hand bookshops on line where perhaps someone is selling them there......I bought 100 Years of Scarlets from that site.....not cheap, but had to have......also many other books. I did have a quick look to see if Myddfai - Its Land and its People was listed, but sadly not!! I do own a copy if anyone wants me to look for anyone.... regards Pauline ----- Original Message ----- From: "Christopher Challener" <christopher.challener@virgin.net> To: <CARMARTHENSHIRE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, August 04, 2005 10:02 AM Subject: Re: [Cmn-L] Myddfai - Its Land and its people > Yes, Gareth from the Dyfed list emailed me to inform me of this. > > I wonder if we pressurised the NLW they may do a reprint? > > Its a lovely book and clearly a labour of love. > > Christopher (6684) > > Still looking for: > CHALLENER - (Anywhere) > DAVIES (Carmarthenshire/Pembrokeshire) > SPROSTON (Mainly Cheshire) > TREMBLE (Co. Hi Christopher, I dont suppose your Manning has any connections with London / Durham does it. I've got a Manning that I think started off in Convent Garden, then to Durham and I think finished up in Tasmania where his son married my grandmother (she came from durham originally) then they both came back to Thornaby on Tees. Hi Christopher, Thanks for this - I've been the main Myddfai enquirer lately and I do know the book very well - to the point that my local library is thinking of giving it to me (I joke! - but I have paid a few fines on it!) Sadly it's no longer in print, having been originally published by the National Library o Wales. If anyone has a spare copy - or should I say a copy they don't want to keep - I should be glad to buy it. Good Morning, Pauline, Thank you for your early response to my inquiry. The only information I have on WILLIAM EDWARDS is that he was born on 27 Feb., 1817 in Llanelly. This is not very much to go on but it is all that I have. Any information you may provide will be greatly appreciated. Regards, Jane in Cal.
When was William Edwards born approximately. A rough area I suppose means an approximate place ..... a clue is needed to search anywhere.....but it probably did mean parish.....Diana and I talk back and forth regularly so we know what the other means.....I hope so anyway!! Hi Pauline, Thank you for your early reply to my inquiry. In reading a message from Diana, I don't know what is meant by a "rough area to search in". Does that mean parish, or what? I once read of the Llanelly Parish, but I don't know if this is actually the parish where WILLIAM EDWARDS was christened. Sorry I cannot be of more help, but it seems that I have so little information to go on. I appreciate your help. Regards, Jane
