Hi List I have been subscribed for awhile but have had my searching on the back burner due to summer. I wonder if anyone knows if there is a web site for pictures in Llanelly of Al Capal(I think that is the correct spelling) My grandmother Elizabeth Coomey(nee Hopkins) and her family attended this church in the early 1900's and I have been told my great grandparents and one of her children are buried there. I just wondered if there is any info on this church on the web. Thank you for any help Sandie Searching: Coomey, Hopkins, Davies

This is fabulous! A few years back I had information from an uncle who had made a notation that my great great grandfather died (in) "Tachwedt, Wales". We assumed it was a place, until some kind soul on the list called my attention to the fact that "Tachwedt" was Welsh for "November". You know what is said about "assuming"! Can SKS please help me. I am trying to find birth records for an Elizabeth Davies born 1874 in Caio/Cwrtycadno. Her parents will be possibly mother Elizabeth Davies and father possibly John Davies. Is it possible for someone to give me a list of any info matching any or all the info above. Many thanks. Regards Helen
I wonder if SKS could help me. I have got the exact death details of a relative. However, upon looking up on 1837 online for the index number, I am not sure. The reason being...... the gravestone says John Davies, Pantglas, Aberdare, Cwrtycadno, yn Cwmcoeddifor, Llansawel died aged 74 on 24th March, 1897. Query : I can only find one entry for the age "74" but the place stated is Llandilofawr? Are these places very near, and could this be the right entry I am looking for to match details above? There is no other exact match of name and age at death. Many thanks for ideas. Regards Helen
Hello Pauline - yes it was great - shame that it rained a bit but getting wet is all part of camping in the UK. I bet yo
Hello Jane - been away for a week and just ploughed through 157 emails!! Do you know if he could possibly have been in Llanelly as I am going to start transcribing at the end of the week when I have caught up with everything. I will look for him but it would be helpful if you had an age give or take 10 years also if you have any idea of what sort of job he would have been doing. Also the name of any child you think would have been born by 1841 and an approximate age (give or take 5 years). If you had a wife's name that would be even better!! Diana
Welcome back Diana....missed you this week, how was the camping trip, were you in a tent?? Hope you and the grandchildren enjoyed........Paulne ----- Original Message ----- From: "diana murray" <littlewarrenfarm@fletchingcommon.fsbusiness.co.uk> To: <CARMARTHENSHIRE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, August 07, 2005 3:52 PM Subject: Re: [Cmn-L] Jane Thomas nee William > Hello Pauline - just got back from camping with the grandchildren - badly > in need of a bath!! > > Thanks for the transcription > > best wishes > Diana > > ==== CARMARTHENSHIRE Mailing List ==== > Wales Genealogy CD's for Wales research > http://www.Wales-Genealogy.co.uk >
