Hello, Diana, I just found out that William Edwards was in England in 1841. I appreciate all the research you did for me, and I hope it wasn't too much trouble for you. Many thanks, again. Regards, Jane in Cal.

In the 1841 Census returns for Glamorganshire, Ann Davies , daughter of John and Jane Hughes Davies woluld have been an infant and only child. In 1851 Census she would have been ca. 10 yrs of age and living with widowed mother Jane and two other siblings. Her future husband Wm.D.Morgan parents, Daniel E. Morgan would have been ca. 26 in 1841 and spouse Ursula ca. 30 . In 1851 Census Wm. D, should appear aged 7 or so, possibly with siblings Elizabeth and Evan D. and maybe others. Appreciate any help in tracking down my mothers side of the family. Thanks.. Bill in Ohio

Hello Sandy You are going to have a real problem trying to identify the right family with just that information. Do you know Martha's maiden name? That might help in finding her marriage to John Thomas and give an indication of the area they may have come from. Re Ancestry's Pay per view. The charge gives you access to 20 pages which can be accessed during a period of 7 days. You can log as many tomes as you like duting those 7 days and view and/or download one or more pages each time. Having accessed a page image you can re-access it as many times as you like during those 7 days. However I suggest you find out a bit more first. You say an IGI entry shows one daughter born in Carmarthen - are you absolutely sure it is the right person? You also mention thee possibility of two sons - can you give us the source of this information? If you tell us as much as you know and the source of the info then maybe we can point you in the right direction. Dear Listers - is there some kind soul out there who has access to the 1851 Wales census? I am looking for my family who came to the United States in 1854. I do not know where they lived - except that some info I have found leads me to believe that the father worked in the coal mines and an IGI indicates that one daughter was born in Carmarthen, but I haven't verified that yet. I am willing to do the search myself on the Ancestry UK site, but I don't understand the pay-per-view. (And, I'm not sure that it is available at my library yet, because I don't see 1851 listed on the Ancestry site.) Do I get one lookup for 6.99 or do I get unlimited lookups at each signon? My problem is that all the names are extremely common so there will be a good bit of trolling. The family is: John Thomas - father (born between 1813 & 1819) Martha Thomas - Wife (born about 1820) Ann, Sarah, Mary - daughters (born between 1820 and 1853) This is the family unit who emigrated to and lived in the US. In some of my searching, I think that there 'might' have been 2 sons - but, I don't know if they died or just didn't go the the US. The names I've come across are David Thomas and Thomas Thomas. Hi Pauline - I for one am cancelling my ancestry subscription because it is so expensive - about £70 per year. Also once you have joined it is nearly impossible to cancel your subs. I have changed my credit card number so that they cannot automatically take the money out of my account each year which I find quite annoying. best wishes Diana
Hello Anita Are you sure that Catherine's husband was Thomas? The reason I ask is that I have found this family which could fit apart from the husband. Llanboidy ED3 Porthtywyd William Phillip 43 Cooper Y Catherine " 44 Y David " 8 Y Sarah " 6 Y Thomas " 3 Y Edward Scourfield 1 Base child N The coincidence of an illegitimate child Edward aged 1 is interesting. Could this be the same Edward and maybe one surname is the mother's and the other is the father's?? I am collecting Scourfield information - so I am interested in this one. meanwhile I'll see if I come across a Thomas Phillips, Cooper. I think this is the marriage of the parents:- Dec 19 1825 William Phillip married Catherine Lewes in Llanboidy Cheers Pat In message <01c301c5c760$484d71f0$6601a8c0@NewLaptop>, Anita Fennerty <afennerty@comcast.net> writes >Hello Pat, > >I couldn't help notice you are indexing Llanboidy 1841.
