    3. I am at present uploading Carmarthenshire 1841 Census Digital Images to our website servers, This will be followed by Carmarthenshire 1851 census digital Images, I hope to have Pembrokeshire, Monmouthshire, Glamorganshire, Cardiganshire, Breconshire and as many of the Welsh 1841 Census Images online as soon as possible, We already have Carmarthenshire 1841 & 1851 census Indexes online [don't confuse the difference between Images and Indexes, the images are the enumerators pages scanned photographs of the actual pages], also Glamorganshire 1841 & 1851 census indexes and many more indexes/Images of Carmarthenshire, Wales & England. At this time membership to the CFHS & UK Genealogy Online data is £10 for 30days, £15.00p for existing Members and £20.00p for new members, for a full year. On January 1st 2006 membership to CFHS will be £20.00 for all, there will be no £10, or £15 membership. Any member will be able to View/Print/Download any digital Image from the Census which are online, I will also be adding Non-Conformist register digital images which we have, plus lots more Indexes/Images of Carmarthenshire, Wales & England. Carmarthenshire 1841 Index is just about complete and should be ready in a month or so, Current Members are also going to begin transcribing Pembrokeshire 1841 Census when Carmarthenshire 1841 is complete, it has taken indexers only a few months to get the Carmarthenshire 1841 census transcribed, which really is a great achievement. Regards Richard

    2. Pauline James
    3. Hi Glen Not at the moment, the non conformist chapels are mainly in the Carmarthen area of Carmarthenshire..... Most of the non-conformist records between the years of 1813-1837 are on the IGI....before or after these times access to the registers are rare.......the law stated that all registers of all denominations had to be 'handed in' between these years...... Some chapels have kept their records after these dates - you would have to write to the chapel concerned as long as they are still active... 3. HI Diana Thanks to you for all your help in making the Society so 'great'.........we are so lucky to have such friendly helpful members....so thanks to everyone too....yes at the start of the year we did not even envisage 1841 census Carmarthenshire being done, let alone nearly completed only 3 parishes left to complete the 78 of them..... Adulam will be a good one to have as it is such a jumble of a register, and to have it translated into english is even better....... I have just sent Llandeilo fawr baptisms to Terry in Carmarthen record office from 1813-1903 which Shirley Layer has completed (thanks Shirley) for the Society as every index we complete is also donated to the CRO......we are taking on Trinity Church Felinfoel next........ I am currently indexing Carmarthen Town St Peters parish church baptisms - I have already completed the burials from the first to the last register so am now going to do the same with the baptisms......we have volunteers to do the non-conformist chapels for Carmarthen which will be another ongoing project..... Plus members want to index Pembs 1841 for the online indexes......I will sort that in the New Year... So all in all its all go at the moment, Richard has created the on-line indexes which is such a bonus for us all, information is being added all the time as each project is completed......census returns and all our parish registers can still be purchased on CD .... If anyone wants to know what is on offer with CFHS go to http://www.carmarthenshirefhs.co.uk Thanks again Diana......
