A search of my database shows five Walter CARLOCKs, only one of which shows a close connection to Mason Co., IL. Page 501 of the book "History of the Carlock Family", by Marion Pomeroy CARLOCK, 1929, shows a listing for Walter B. CARLOCK (s/o Charles H., Jacob Madison, Abraham, Hanchrist, David GERLACH/CARLOCK, Hans GERLACH), b. Mar. 23, 1889, residence "Syncartie, Ill." (probably Snicarte, Mason Co., IL, in 1929). The book shows that Walter was the son of Charles H. CARLOCK, b. Oct. 13, 1857, Mason Co., IL, and Maud CONNOR. The book does not list a wife for Walter. Some relatives of Walter lived in nearby Bath, Mason Co., IL. The 1989 reprinting of the book "History of the Carlock Family" was sponsored by Jerry Lee CARLOCK, Box 1, Bath, IL, 62617. If no-one has yet claimed the photograph of "Mag" CARLOCK, Jerry Lee CARLOCK or his relatives might be interested in the photograph.
