This is in reply to the following e-mail which I received from David CARLOCK ([email protected]) yesterday. I do not have any information to help David at this time other than finding a marriage listing for James A. CARLOCK and Dora E. SWINK, May 21, 1893, Union Co., IL, at the following site: http://cyberdriveillinois.com/cgi-bin/archives/marriage.s. Does anyone have any information to help David either prove or disprove the positive link between L.H. CARLOCK and Lindsey H. CARLOCK? I have been researching my branch of the "tree" and have gotten to some assumptions that I would like some input on, if possible. My Grandfather was Bema Anthony Carlock (brn. 1905 in Dongola) His father was James H. Carlock (brn. 1872 in Union co.Ill.) James was married to Dora Swink of Union co. Ill. James' father seems to be L.H. Carlock (which I think is Lindsey Hegensted Carlock) Lindsey is the 1st son of James Calvin Carlock and Isabelle Littleton who were married in 1822. I see that James Calvin Carlock was the son of Ebenezer (Eber) Carlock. My problem is I cannot make the positive link between L.H. Carlock I see that Lindsey H. Carlock married Sarah Ann May in Feb of 1871 but I don't see any listing of the Children of that marriage. Can you help? This is about the only link I don't have good documentation on. Thank You, David Carlock Houston, Tx.
