Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Greg Kennedy, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Chillicothe Cemetery at Chillicothe by Price-Jackson Funeral Home. Dr. Hobbs was born in Jaroso, Colo. A graduate of Texas Tech University and Baylor College of Dentistry, he was a dentist for the Army Air Corps during World War II and started a practice in Quanah after the war. In Quanah, he was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 689 AF&AM, Rotary Club and Lions Club. He was past president of Quanah Independent School District board and Texas State Dental Association. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and Fellowship Sunday School Class. He married Virginia Carlock in 1938 at Chillicothe. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Chuck Hobbs of Greenville and Edward Hobbs of San Antonio; a daughter, Susan Kimball of Edmond; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church.
