Katheryn: I think it is highly unlikely that these spellings could be connected with the CARLOCK family since we have already identified the German spelling of this surname as GERLACH and I have seen no references to any members of this family having been Mennonites. To the contrary, at least one of our immigrant CARLOCK ancestors was involved with the American Revolutionary War, which Mennonites would not have done. Has anyone ever checked these other possible spellings? Katheryn Haddad ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected] To: K. It looks reasonable to me. Maybe you might want to start tracking down the available family history of Gerrig, Kerick, Kaik, and Kerique....? Regards, Dale Bricker Could GERRIG also have been GERLICK? Katheryn in Canada ...
