Thank you, Scott AMY JONES Amy Jones was the fourth child of Isaac and Rachel Ozburn Jones born at Lost Creek, TN, on 13 Jun 1797. She married on 25 Dec 1816 to Reuben Carlock, the son of Abraham and Abilgail Osborn (or Ashburn?) Carlock. Reuben was born 13 Oct 1795, in Augusta,VA, and moved to TN about 1803. In 1827 the Carlock family moved to Dry Grove Township, McLean Co, IL. In 1844 they were appointed administrators of Isaac Jones' estate. It was later that the town of Carlock was named for this pioneer family. Reuben died at his farm home which was located north of Carlock, Woodford Co, IL, on 17 Apr 1854. Amy died at age 94 on 17 Apr 1891. Both are buried at Carlock Democrat Cemeter near Carlock. Amy was always remembered for being a small, springly, typical pioneer woman who never lost her love for her little clay pipe which she often smoked. Amy and Reuben had seven children.
