The Carlock family genealogy says that Mary Ann Lee was a first cousin of Robert E. Lee, and that her father William was a brother to Lt. Horse Harry Lee, RE Lee's father. There are no sources given other than family tradition. I suspect we'd have to do some extensive research in deeds and wills and such to determine whether there is a connection or not
