Supposedly William Lee was a cousin of Robert E. and he was a farmer, not a military man. Things just don't match up with Lee family history. I have not worked on this for some time but I am still very curious about the connection. I have a cousin that believes this is a different Lee family. I will send you some info when I get time and maybe you can work it out. Aloha!
